Careismatic Brands Inc.

Case Overview

On January 22, 2024, Careismatic Brands Inc. and a number of affiliates* filed chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey ("Bankruptcy Court"). On January 24, the Bankruptcy Court ordered that the cases be administratively consolidated under docket number 24-10561 ("Careismatic cases"). Vincent F. Papalia is the presiding judge.

 Committee Appointment

On February 2, 2024, the United States Trustee appointed a committee of unsecured creditors in the Careismatic cases; on February 14, the makeup of the committee was amended ("Committee"). Current members are Ball Up, Koi Design, and Angela Mendoza. The Committee has selected has selected Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP ("PSZJ") as its counsel, subject to Bankruptcy Court approval. Bradford Sandler is the principal attorney at PSZJ responsible for this engagement.
